Distributed systems

Awareness that doesn't depend on any single vehicle.

Field-deployed sensing and communications nodes that extend the mission picture beyond the range of any one aircraft, vehicle or vessel.

The concept

Distributed nodes are the fourth expression of the Aerinos architecture: portable, field-deployed sensors and communications relays that feed the same common mission fabric as the crewed and uncrewed platforms.

By pushing sensing and relay to the edge, the distributed layer is designed to keep a mission picture alive even when individual vehicles move out of range or operate in contested spectrum.

Mission roles

Persistent watch

Unattended sensing over fixed points, borders and remote infrastructure.

Communications relay

Extending secure links across terrain and range for the wider system family.

Distributed awareness

Fusing many small sensors into one operator-visible mission picture.

Autonomy and command

One mission fabric, adapted to the domain.

Nodes are designed as thin edge participants in the mission fabric: they contribute observations and relay secure command traffic through the same common data layer used by the vehicles, so awareness scales without a new operator workflow for each sensor.

EO/IR sensing, RF spectrum awareness and communications relays share the common data boundaries, letting the distributed layer grow with the same payload discipline as the platforms.
